Doctor Profile

Ian is an experienced anaesthetic consultant who works and teaches in the public sector at a tertiary level, as well as in the private sector. He works regularly with both children and adults. Dr Forsyth has completed a six-year medical degree and spent a further five years specializing in anaesthetics, and completed a fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He has also undergone additional specific paediatric anaesthetic training and completed a fellowship in paediatric anaesthesia at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. He works regularly at the tertiary paediatric hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital.

I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, keeping fit and trying to keep the ever-elusive balance of work/family and play. My mischievous sons keep me grounded, and on my toes. They constantly challenge me physically and, these days, intellectually ;). I thoroughly enjoy my work and am lucky enough to work alongside many wonderful, skilled, and caring professionals. I strive to provide a safe and caring service.
